Some Advice (compliments of Jack Handey)
If you want to be the popular one at a party, here's a good thing to do: Go up to some people who are talking and laughing and say, "Well, technically that's illegal." It might fit in with what somebody just said. And even if it doesn't, so what, I hate this stupid party.

i first heard that deep thought over 10 years ago, and, believe it or not, i actually do that on occasion. no one ever knows what the hell i'm talking about - and it has never fit in with the conversation - but it's a decent way to break into a conversation. of course, i only do it with people i already know.
You know DJ Skuggs, technically, that's illegal.
